Growing in Christ

Growing in Christ meets every Sunday from September to June from 9:15-10:15.  This formation program focuses on how we can grow as Christian People into the Full Stature of Christ. 

 We begin with the Inquiry Phase looking at the basics of the Episcopal/Anglican tradition with the Rev. Andrew Shirota, our associate Vicar.  Some of the topics that Andrew will discuss in these classes include: Scripture and the ways that we understand scripture, Sacraments and Worship-- why do we worship together. 

In the weeks ahead, we will begin to examine Benedictine Spirituality and will look at both Lectio Divina and Visio Divina with guest teacher, Sister Lucy Wynkoop, OSB. 

Growing in Christ is a wonderful way to renew your faith and to see God in the every day.   It is a way to consider baptism if you have not been baptized at an earlier point in your life, or to reaffirm what was said for you or by you in your baptism, or to simply learn more about Christianity, renew your faith and find out more about the Episcopal Church.
