Andrew Bio

I came from Japan in the summer of 1995 to study English for a short period of time, then wound up with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. I worked at a DNA testing company in Seattle for over five years as an IT person. I recently earned a Master of Divinity degree at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. God truly has an interesting sense of humor to lead me here. My passion is bridge making between diverse communities.

I am a member of the Episcopal Asiamerica Ministry, and am currently serving as the convener of the Japanese convocation. At St. Benedict, I will be working in the areas of welcoming newcomers, outreach and pastoral care as the associate vicar.

When I am not at work, I love driving to visit a variety of places.
