Tim Madden Bio

I am interested in serving on the Bishop’s Committee at St. Benedict because I feel that I am called to do so. Caroline and I have been members of Saint Benedict’s since August 1990. The U.S. Army moved us from El Paso, TX and we found a home here in Lacey. The first Sunday we were here we went to St. Benedict to see if it would work for us. Our daughter, Brandy was taken in by the youth director, Jan Akin, and was immediately accepted in the youth group and we have been here ever since. The second year we were here Lucy Reuter talked to me and asked me to be on the Bishop Committee, I was elected and served for three years, two as senior warden. I have also been a Sunday School Teacher, worked with the finance committee, been a teller, and an usher, and a van driver for the community dinners, also I have been a general gopher when needed. I retired from the Army in 1994 and I am currently a School Counselor working with middle school students. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, reading, and golf.
